Cook your noodles in a large saucepan of boiling water until they are al dente. While it may be tempting to use less water while boiling your noodles, this is not a good idea if you’re only making enough for one or two meals. Although it is not necessary, boiling your noodles in a full pot of water helps to prevent them from sticking together throughout the cooking process.
Preventing spaghetti strands from adhering together
- As soon as you add the noodles, check to see that the water is boiling.
- Make sure your spaghetti is well-mixed.
- If you intend to serve your pasta with a sauce, don’t use any oil in the preparation.
- If you’re not going to consume your cooked pasta straight away, you should rinse it with water beforehand.
